Why shop at Rocky Mountain Jewelers?
Since we were originally established as an Insurance Replacement Jeweler, your shopping experience with us will be totally unique. We are located on the fourth floor of an office building and work by appointment only so we can give you our undivided attention. No overwhelming showroom or salespeople and no interruptions. Also because of our unique niche we are able to keep our prices well below retail.
How does Rocky Mountain Jewelers pricing compare to retail?
Our pricing generally comes out to be a least 30% - 50% below retail. Unlike retail stores, our prices are primarily set by the insurance companies we work with. We don't mark up our jewelery, just to mark it down. We work on a "cost-plus" scale.
What forms of payment does Rocky Mountain Jewelers accept?
We accept cash, check, Mastercard or Visa.
How do I make an appointment to see you?
Just contact us at (720) 344-5050 and we will set up a time that is convenient.
Why is my white gold ring turning yellow?
White gold inherently has a slight gold tint to it so it is rhodium plated to make it look whiter. Over time, the rhodium plating wears off and the white gold ring takes on a tarnished look. The ring just needs to be re-plated and it will look new again.
Do I need an appraisal to insure my jewelry?
If you are going to schedule your jewelery under your homeowners policy, then yes, you will need an appraisal. Policies vary from one insurance company to the next so you need to talk to you agent and find out what they require.
What is the difference between white gold and platinum?
The biggest difference is the price! Platinum rings will run at least twice if not more than the same ring in white gold. Platinum is a pure metal, unlike white gold which is allowed with other metals. Platinum is much denser, making the item much heavier in weight.
Do you sell other types of gemstones or just diamonds?
We have access to all types of gemstones. Being a "replacement jeweler" gives us special access to vendors and suppliers of unique and hard to find items.
